Multi Service Outlet

The Carrathool Shire Multi Service Outlet (MSO) is funded by the NSW Department of Family and Community Services Division of Aged, Health and Disability Care and the Federal Government Department of Health to auspice six programs under the Home and Community Care banner (HACC).

MSO is also funded by the Federal Government Department of Health to run the National Respite for Carers Program (known as NRCP) and Community Aged Care Packages (CACPs).

The Services provided by the HACC MSO Program to eligible residents include the following:

HACC Home Modifications & Maintenance

Grabrails can be installed by a tradesperson and we may also be able to help you to arrange for bigger jobs to be done by a tradesperson eg: installation of access ramps.

Basic lawn mowing and pruning can be done in order to maintain a safe environment around your dwelling.

A contribution is required per Client.

Community Transport

This Service is available Monday to Friday. Drivers can help get you to appointments, shopping and social outings. There is also a community transport program for isolated communities to benefit non-HACC clients to access appointments, social activities, or linkage to regional buses.

24 hours notice is required for local trips (Hillston) and 48 hours notice is required for longer trips (Griffith, Wagga Wagga and Albury).

A contribution is required per Client.

HACC Meals On Wheels

Home delivered meals are available 7 days per week. Volunteers deliver hot meals from Monday to Friday at a cost to the client per meal. Arrangements can be made for public holidays and weekends. Special diets can be catered for eg gluten free, diabetic.

Payment for Meals can be made at the Hillston District Office.

HACC Domestic Assistance

The MSO is funded to provide domestic assistance to eligible HACC clients. An assessment will be made by the MSO Officer in discussion with potential clients, and to meet set criteria by the NSW Department of Family and Community Services.

This program seeks to provide basic level care at home for clients needing domestic assistance eg washing, kitchen work, cleaning of floors and the like.

HACC Social Support

The MSO is funded to provide social support to eligible HACC clients. This program has diverse objectives and different services are tailored to suit a particular need / needs of client.  Please contact MSO Officer for further details.

HACC Respite

Respite services provide planned short term, time-limited breaks for families and other unpaid carers of children, young people and adults with a disability - with the intention that families / carers resume care at the end of the respite period. They are services that assume the caring role during the period of respite.
