Hillston Floodplain Management Project

Council are in the process of progressing the Hillston Floodplain Management Project with the Consultant ‘Catchment Simulation Solutions’.

As part of this project CSS have engaged a sub-contractor ‘Price Merit Consulting’ to undertake surveying along the Lachlan River banks and boundaries.

This survey has been developed to obtain feedback about how people in our communities like to be communicated with. The survey measures awareness about services available and popularity of communication  channels. It also measures awareness around LHAC activities.

New Mayor For Carrathool Shire

The September meeting of Council saw us say goodbye and good luck to Mayor Peter Laird and welcome new Mayor Darryl Jardine and new Deputy Mayor Cr Scott Groat.

Council would like to take this opportunity to thank Peter for his time in Office starting as a Councillor in 1984, becoming deputy Mayor in 1992 and finally becoming our Mayor in 2004.

Public Exhibition - Code of Meeting Practice

Notice is hereby given that the Council intends to adopt the revised Code of Meeting Practice following an exhibition period of 28 days.

The code is available for public inspection at the Goolgowi Shire Office, Hillston District Office and the WG Parker Memorial Library.
