‘THE RANCH’ 149 BACK HILLSTON ROAD, TABBITA
Council has received a Development Application to modify a Livestock Intensive Industry (Poultry Production Facility) on Lot:4 DP:1220390 ‘The Ranch’ 149 Back Hillston Road, Tabbita. In accordance with s 4.46 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, Council hereby provides Notice of the proposed development, which will also be assessed as Designated and Integrated development.
The name of the applicant is VOAG 4 and the Consent Authority for this development is Carrathool Shire Council, PO Box 12, Goolgowi NSW 2652. The approval authority for Integrated development is NSW Environment Protection Authority under s.43 of the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997.
The proposed development modification provides for the relocation of a water storage dam of reduced capacity and the construction of a new retention basin in the location of the former water storage dam.
The proposed development is Designated Development under the meaning of s 4.10 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, as being a livestock intensive industry for the commercial production of birds accommodating more than 250,000 birds.
The Development Application and supporting documents may be inspected at the offices of Carrathool Shire Council located at 9-11 Cobram Street, Goolgowi, and the Department of Planning, Industry & Environment Offices from Monday 18 May 2020 up until close of business on Monday 1 June 2020.
During the time of public exhibition up until the close of business on Monday 1 June 2020 any person may inspect the documents and make written submissions to Carrathool Shire Council concerning this proposed development and if the submission is made by way of objection, the grounds of the objection must be specified in the submission. Any submissions received regarding this Development Application will be considered a public document.
Council advises that, as per Clause 118(5)(d) of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2000, if Council approves the application there is no right of appeal to the NSW Land and Environment Court by an objector.
